Lesson One - Your Why

Quote of the Day:
“He who has a WHY can endure any how.” –Friedrich Nietzsche

LESSON: Do you know your “Whyˮ? Your Why is the reason you became a Team Beachbody Coach. But don't let this simple explanation fool you—having a clear Why is one of your most powerful tools as a Coach. A meaningful Why will help you push through obstacles, stay focused on your goals, and help you connect with others in a meaningful way.

Most new Coaches can struggle to identify a meaningful why for being a Coach. Consider the following questions to help you:

  • Where do you add value to others?
  • What are your personal strengths?
  • What makes you come alive?
  • How will you measure “successˮ in your life?
  • How can Beachbody help with the important things in your life?
  • Why does it matter to you?

Knowing why you’re a Coach will give your business a sense of purpose that will make it easier to connect with others. People are drawn to people who have a sense of purpose because it gives some common ground to build on. Your why is so pivotal because it also is at the foundation of your motivation. Think deeper than, "I want to help people." Because you wouldn't be here if you didn't want that. All coaches want that. But what is unique to you? Here's some examples of powerful why's:

  • To create financial freedom for my family and pay that forward to other families
  • So that I never have to go back to work and be away from my kids and help other moms do the same
  • Because I want to retire my husband from his dangerous career
  • To give my children the opportunities I've always dreamed for them
  • To build a business that gives me the freedom to travel the world and make memories
  • To end the trend of obesity in my family and help my loved ones live longer

Those are pretty powerful right? Those will get ya out of bed in the morning!
